I earned a Bachelor of Science in Youth Studies from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and a Master of Arts in Learning Design & Technology from the University of Colorado Denver, complemented by specialized training through the National Principal Academy Fellowship.
My career began with Teach For America in Houston, TX and flourished in Denver's public schools, where I discovered my passion for creating transformative learning experiences. These foundations in education shaped my approach to adult learning and organizational development, leading me to expand my impact through corporate learning and development.
As a Learning & Development professional, I've evolved from creating classroom experiences to leading strategic learning initiatives that drive business results. At Hunter Douglas, I've had the opportunity to combine my passion for learning design with data-driven strategies, leading teams that create engaging programs reaching thousands of learners. While I've grown into leadership roles, my core passion remains the same: creating meaningful learning experiences that help people and organizations thrive.
After a decade of adventure in Colorado and Texas, I returned home to Minneapolis, MN in 2024 with my husband and two dogs. We were fostering our youngest, but after a couple of months we joined the "foster fail club."
In my free time, I enjoy rediscovering Minnesota's outdoor spaces, reading books for fun, exploring local bike trails, and reconnecting with old friends (and making new ones). I am also a true Aquarius. I love alone time to recharge and I'm often looking for my next creative inspiration, whether that's in learning design or life.
